Drafting Technology
Associate in Specialized Technology Degree
21 months (day program); 27 months (evening program)
The Drafting Technology degree program at BTI focuses on Mechanical Drawing and Architectural Drafting. The program will provide students with skills and training to perform drafting assignments that require the use of drafting standards, symbols and nomenclature. Students will get hands-on experience in the Computer Aided Drafting lab, which has hardware and AutoCAD software similar to what is used on the job.
Employment Training Objectives
Graduates of the Drafting Technology program will be able to seek entry-level employment as a Drafting Technician and CAD Operator.
The staff at BTI are effective instructors who have a passion for design and are accomplished designers with years of experience in the field. Students in Drafting Technology will study courses in drafting and design, and other courses including:
- CAD
- Mechanical Drawing
- Technical Math
- Architectural Drafting
- Technical Writing
- Technical Physics
